Skiers from the Knurów-Szczygłowice mine turn out the best

Representatives of the Knurów-Szczygłowice mine came first in the mining industry giant slalom competition.

The skiers won the cup of Adam Gawęda, Secretary of State at the Ministry of State Assets. In the individual ranking, Tomasz Pająk from the Budryk mine took the victory. Among ladies Danuta Stoppel, representing the Knurów-Szczygłowice mine, was the best.

On 29 February the slalom course at the Cieńków ski station in Wisła Malinka attracted over 200 skiers. Polska Grupa Górnicza and Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa mines were represented by 25 teams. The winners received awards from, among others, Vice-Minister Adam Gawęda, President of Polska Grupa Górnicza Tomasz Rogala, president of Holding KW Leszek Słaboń and President of Nadwiślańska Agencja Turystyczna Lucjan Karasiewicz.
