The “Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa Mines 360°” materials are aimed at bringing you closer to work in the mine, often unknown and mythologized. They were created and produced by employees of the JSW Group, in particular of JSW S.A., JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo Sp. z o.o. and JSW IT Systems Sp. z o.o. The app may be developed further by adding to it new facilities and places or taking a more in-depth approach to looking at specific jobs for the purpose of dedicated OSH training.
They work hundreds of meters underground to extract the materials that build the modern world. This is not an exaggeration: without coking coal there is no steel and without steel there is no civilization that we know of. Can you imagine a world without cars, modern office buildings or bridges? Virtually everything that surrounds us is related to steel. Even wooden furniture is manufactured in steel production halls where machinery is made mainly of... steel!
Education, education and once again education is absolutely the best idea for disseminating the awareness of the significance of coking coal in the modern economy. Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. is the largest producer of coking coal in the European Union, which is why we have taken it upon ourselves to remind people that without coking coal it is impossible to produce steel in an economically viable manner.
