JSW's partners, on their own initiative, have decided to support the families by making donations to the JSW Foundation totaling nearly PLN 120,000. The Foundation, acting within the framework of its statutory objectives, has distributed the funds, providing assistance to the families of the tragically deceased and injured miners. The support has the form of tangible material help and is an important symbol of solidarity and concern.

Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa and the JSW Foundation would like to thank the companies that have decided to make such a gesture of support.

Let us recall, as a result of the ignition of methane in longwall XVII, seam 405/1 below the 850m level, which occurred in the Szczygłowice Section, five miners died and sixteen were injured. Two of them are still in hospital in Kraków.
