The first training sessions started on 1 June and will last till the end of the month. The classes are held in JSW Szkolenia i Górnictwo at the Pniówek mine, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 6.00 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The interest in the training based on the modern system is huge. So far 280 people signed up: not only mine employees, but also local residents and even whole families with children.

– It is worth taking part in such training because safety and ability to give first aid is extremely important  – says Łukasz Dwornik, President of JSW Szkolenie i Górnictwo. – The feeling of safety is one of the natural needs of every human. Knowing that we have around us people who know how to help, we will live healthier and safer lives – he adds.

Thanks to the classes, course participants will have an opportunity to learn how to correctly respond in life- or health-threatening situations. Under the watchful eye of instructors they will be able to use the application and, using a first aid manikin, they will practice the required procedures. During the training the application will display key information pertaining to, for example, the right pace of the chest compressions. Each course ends with a short test.
