AI Virtual Assistant already at the disposal of JSW Group employees

Virtual Assistant - AITIS ChatBot is a proprietary solution that allows conversation with an artificial intelligence system in selected subject areas. It has been developed through the efforts of JSW IT Systems employees and the editorial team of the Crew Head’s Zone. Its name, AITIS, is a combination of the English-language acronym for artificial intelligence (AI) and the name of the company JSW IT Systems.

AITIS is available to JSW IT Systems employees, users of the training and information platform "Crew Head’s Zone and more," Integrated Management System proxies and other JSW Group employee groups and teams.

- I am glad that we have launched the AITIS ChatBot in our Company. This is further proof of our focus on modern and innovative solutions. We show that even in the mining industry it is worth reaching for new technologies that make life easier for employees and help them get to the information they need faster. This tool takes the use of our knowledge resources to a whole new level, both in terms of how we search for information and how we communicate on a daily basis - said Adam Rozmus, Vice-President of the JSW SA Management Board for Technical and Operational Matters.

By integrating with organizational knowledge resources, it enables voice and text conversations, using the context of the question asked and answering it in a natural manner. Importantly, it indicates the source from which the answer comes, allowing the user to verify the information received. The ChatBot's resources can be gradually adapted to the needs of the organization and employees.

- AITIS allows you to divide data resources into separate areas, so you can precisely manage access to certain information by granting it to selected users. This provides ample opportunity to use the ChatBot in a controlled manner - emphasizes Robert Zając, head of the AI/BI Competence Center.

Unlike popular GPT chatbots available in the cloud, the AITIS ChatBot is a local solution fully controlled by the organization. AITIS is installed on the servers of the JSW Group Data Processing Center. As a result, it meets the highest security standards, guarantees the confidentiality of processed data and complies with industry regulations.

- The implementation of AITIS is an important step in the digital transition of the JSW Group. It's not just a Chatbot, it's an intelligent assistant that supports employees in quickly and securely accessing industry knowledge - stresses Tomasz Błaszczyk, President of the Management Board of JSW IT Systems, adding: - Thanks to its integration with the resources of the portal 'Crew Head’s Zone and more' and the use of large language models, AITIS is able to conduct natural conversation and provide precise answers. I believe that this tool, which is already an integral part of our teams' work, can also be offered to other companies as an on-premise solution.

Using the virtual assistant is facilitated by a step-by-step video tutorial that explains how to use the ChatBot, its limitations and where to find information about the knowledge resources it uses. The main page naturally contains a FAQ section, a rich collection of frequently asked questions with answers.

The virtual assistant available around the clock will help avoid time-consuming searches through a variety of resources for useful information.

- The AITIS ChatBot definitely reduces the time of tedious tasks, helps to quickly find necessary regulations, documents or information, and is a helpful assistant in daily work - explains Zbigniew Schinohl, editor of the editorial team of the Crew Head’s Zone. - However, it must be remembered that it cannot be used as a source of law. It should be a regular practice to verify the answers received in the attached source - concludes Zbigniew Schinohl.
