Jastrzębski Węgiel has won the gold medal in the Championships of Poland for the second time in the club’s history. The team won the first champion title 17 years ago.

– I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the championship title. The whole Management Board is happy and proud of our volleyball players. Thank you, because your achievement is also a great success for us. I keep my fingers crossed for your future games. A result like that is achieved primarily thanks to hard work, determination and numerous sacrifices, which makes the success taste even better – said Barbara Piontek, President of the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, which is the main sponsor of the club.

This great success of the Jastrzębski Węgiel team would not be possible without the financial support received from JSW, emphasized Adam Gorol, club president. – I would like to convey my thanks to you, Madam President, the Management Board and the owner. This result would not have been achievable and would not have been achieved on such a high level if not for the financial support, because that’s the reality. I’m proud that I run the club under Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa’s auspices. It gives me great satisfaction and I assure you that we do everything to always proudly represent you in Poland and abroad. And this success is the best evidence of that – said Adam Gorol.

The performance by our players was just perfect. They did everything to bring the gold medal to Jastrzębie-Zdrój.  With their great game the “Orange Team” have proven that they deserve the title of the Champion of Poland for which both the club and the supporters of Jastrzębski Węgiel have waited so long.

– This is really incredible that after so many years the club can finally celebrate such great success, which has been a hot topic from the very beginning of the season. We have worked hard to earn it. It’s wonderful to be part of this success – said proudly Jurij Gladyr, Jastrzębski Węgiel player.
