Accident at KWK Pniówek

An accident occurred during maintenance work at one of the working faces of the Pniówek mine owned by Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa.

A miner employed at Pniówek since 2019 was injured. The incident occurred on 5 January, around nine o'clock in the PW-1 ramp, between levels 800 and 1,000 meters, in seam 361. A doctor descended on the scene. The injured miner was responsive. The worker was transported to the hospital. The causes of the accident will be determined by a special commission.
