We support future Champions of Poland

– Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa supports sport and this way invests in the professional future of youths. In the Talent Academy we jointly train the future generations of Champions of Poland in volleyball – said Jarosław Jędrysek, Vice-President of the JSW S.A. Management Board for Financial Matters, at the press conference organized by the Jastrzębski Węgiel Sports Club on 13 May 2021. – Our support is a perfect fit for the Company’s activity in the area of corporate social responsibility – he added.

The Jastrzębski Węgiel Talent Academy is the only place in Poland being the source of a number of leading players playing in the best volleyball clubs. It is in Jastrzębie-Zdrój where youths can professionally train and develop their passion – volleyball, combining education with sport. This season the Academy trained over 100 young players.

– This base for bringing up and educating young volleyball players makes this hundred children and youths very lucky. We are happy that such a large group of young people may learn and train in such great conditions provided by the Club and JSW – noted Artur Soboń, Deputy Minister of State Assets. –This investment is particularly important because it supports the development of youths – he said, surprised by the impetus of the project.

– I would like to thank the management board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa for enabling us to execute this project. It’s the source of great satisfaction to all of us – said Adam Gorol, President of the Jastrzębski Węgiel Sports Club. – I’m proud that we can work for a brand like JSW and put the bar increasingly higher in our project addressed to talented youths – he added.

The youth volleyball project entitled the Jastrzębski Węgiel Talent Academy has been executed since the 2012/2013 season. The Jastrzębski Węgiel Talent Academy was established based on a common vision of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa and the Jastrzębski Węgiel club to conduct innovative sports development activities in the region.
