Twenty-one employees working at JSW's mines took part in the competition, including two employees selected in the competitions held at each mine and one employee selected in the 12th edition of the Internet competition of OHS knowledge

The first stage of the competition involved completing a test consisting of 30 questions. After a fierce battle, four players with the highest number of points advanced to the second round.

The second stage of the competition was interactive. Within 10 minutes, participants moved along a virtual route covering selected JSW locations, answering further 30 questions. Once again, this format was inspired by the Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa 360⁰ Mines app.

The winner of the 13th edition of the competition was Rafał Gembalczyk from the Borynia Section. Second place went to Łukasz Młynek from the Knurów Section, and third place to Krystian Salamon from the Zofiówka Section. The team classification was won by the team from the Knurów-Szczygłowice mine, Knurów Section, represented by Łukasz Młynek, Damian Zydek and Dominik Drewniak.

“Work safety is an absolute priority for us. I encourage all JSW employees to deepen their knowledge of safety, because you can never know too much about it. In extreme cases, this knowledge can save lives and health. I would like to congratulate the winners and all participants in the final. The level you have achieved is commendable, and I hope that next year it will be even higher,” said Bogusław Oleksy, acting president of JSW, recapping this year's competition finals.

Among the invited guests were representatives of the State Mining Authority, the Regional Mining Authority in Rybnik, the Regional Labor Inspectorate in Katowice, the Central Mining Rescue Station in Bytom, the Central Mining Institute in Katowice, the Association of Mining Engineers and Technicians, the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, and students from JSW SA's patronage classes at the John Paul II High School Complex in Pawłowice.
