Sunday picnic with JSW

Children can tick off the beginning of summer vacations as very successful. The JSW Knowledge Mine prepared for them plenty of attractions, which were available in the green areas near the Sports Hall in Jastrzębie-Zdrój.

Every child, regardless of age, could find something to enjoy during the family science and sports picnic. The children were very interested in scientific demonstrations and experiments that they could perform on their own.

- We tell the children, among other things, how pressure works, but I think they liked most the "elephant paste", which is a big explosion caused by mixing several substances - says Monika Baron.

There was an alchemist's kitchen, an inflatable slide, painting pictures, pin making, and many contests with prizes. There were also numerous sports competitions and games.

There are really lots of attractions - throwing the ball into the basket, tic-tac-toe competitions, the atmosphere is great and it's worth being here - admits Bartosz Musiolik, who participated in the picnic.

There were so many attractions that it is hard to count them all. Through various experiments and workshops, the youngest children could discover new interests. All within the JSW Knowledge Mine - a project prepared by Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa’s CSR Team, which has been consistently implementing projects in the area of corporate social responsibility.

- It's embedded in our activity. Not because we have to do it, but because we want to connect our business very strongly with the local community. Today, the recipients are children who have just started their summer vacation. We will make this time fun for them, not only by playing ball, but also by gaining knowledge. Rapport with the local community is very important to us - said Tomasz Cudny, President of the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa.

Another such event is planned for next year.
