The employer was represented by Jolanta Gruszka - Vice-President of the Management Board for Sales, Artur Wojtków - Vice-President of the Management Board for Employment and Social Policy, and Jacek Durka - Deputy Director of the Office for Employment, Payroll and Asset Management, who was entrusted with the role of Chairman of the Negotiating Team.

Forty-six of the 80 trade unions operating at JSW SA responded to the employer's invitation. The meeting was attended by representatives of 33 trade union organizations.

Since 2009, the Company has not had a uniform document governing labor issues. The commencement of negotiations is a response to numerous demands by trade unions to organize and standardize working conditions and salaries for all JSW SA employees.

The legal basis for conducting the negotiations is provided by Articles 241² and 241³ of the Labor Code.

The first meeting discussed mainly organizational issues related to negotiation rules.
