On 8 September 2026, the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa adopted a resolution regarding an update of JSW’s Technical and Economic Plan for 2026. The document sets out the key assumptions regarding production, costs, investments and sales prices.

According to its updated plan, JSW intends to produce a total of 13.3 million tons of coal in 2026. The majority will be coking coal – its production is expected to reach 11.22 million tons. The remaining 2.08 million tons will be steam coal. At the same time, coke production was estimated at 3.26 million tons.

Another key element of the update is the assumptions regarding production costs. The unit mining cash cost (MCC) is expected to be approximately PLN 588 per ton. The average projected total coal sales price for 2026 was set at PLN 660.97 per ton.

In its updated plan, JSW has allocated approximately PLN 1.9 billion for capital expenditures. Taking into account the companies belonging to the JSW Group, the total value of planned investments in 2026 is expected to amount to approximately PLN 2.4 billion.

The plan also includes measures to reduce labor costs. As part of the safety net measures – which include, among other things, leave for miners, leave for employees of coal preparation plants, and one-off cash severance payments – the plan calls for the departure of 4,248 employees. As a result of the measures implemented, in 2026 the estimated impact on payroll costs, including payroll charges, will amount to approximately PLN 272 million.
