JSW to apply for a loan

On 17 August 2026, the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa SA adopted a resolution approving the submission of an application to Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu SA (ARP) for a loan of up to PLN 1.066 billion. The planned financing would replace the ongoing sale of the shares of Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Szybów S.A. and Jastrzębskie Zakłady Remontowe Sp. z o.o. to ARP, which is subject to a preliminary purchase agreement signed in March 2026.

The proposed loan amount corresponds to the total preliminary purchase price of the shares in PBSz and JZR set forth in the agreement.

The funds raised through this potential financing would be used to finance the Company’s operations during the restructuring period, which includes measures aimed at reducing operating costs and optimizing the operations of the JSW Group.

However, the fact that JSW submits an application does not mean that the loan will be granted to the Company. The final decision on this matter will depend, among other things, on the results of further financial and legal analyses conducted by ARP, the finalization of the financing documentation and the obtaining of the required approvals, including those from JSW’s financing institutions.
