JSW will not buy and will not take over free of charge mines from Tauron and other mining companies

With reference to the statement by the president of Tauron Polska Energia, Paweł Strączyński, made in Parkiet TV on 10 May 2021, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. declares that has not been and it is not interested in buying or taking over free of charge mines from Tauron or other mining companies.

Mr. Strączyński’s statement was not agreed with the JSW S.A. Management Board in any way. Our company does not plan any talks or meetings associated with purchase of mines as it will not take over any mining assets (either for a fee or free of charge). Such actions are not planned in the company’s strategy or any other document.

At the same time, we appeal for prudence in making similar declarations regarding JSW, which is a listed company, sensitive to this kind of news.
