JSW launches educational platform "This is coal"

JSW SA introduces a new online platform, This is Coal, which has been developed to educate, engage and inspire. The website is a center of knowledge about metallurgical coal - a raw material that is indispensable in the steel industry and of great importance in everyone's daily life.

The site offers a variety of educational materials that explain in an accessible form what metallurgical coal is and what its functions are:

  • Facts and myths - learn the truth and dispel stereotypes about metallurgical coal.

  • Podcasts - listen to conversations with experts on the role of coal in the economy and sustainable development.

  • Curiosities - discover how steel - a product made with metallurgical coal - accompanies us in everyday life.

  • Multimedia and infographics - see how we present the importance of coal for industrial and technological development in an attractive way.

An integral part of the platform is an educational competition that encourages active involvement. With a simple task, participants can not only deepen their knowledge, but also compete for unique prizes.

 

Participants answer the question:

“How is metallurgical coal - transformed into steel - present in your daily life?”

Responses (up to 2,500 characters) will be evaluated by the Jury for originality, relevance and creativity.

Awards made of steel emphasize the importance of metallurgical coal in everyday life. Their symbolism links education to the actual use of coal in steel production. The competition is an excellent way to educate through fun.
