JSW and the JSW Foundation ran in the Run for New Life

This was a special relay run – Run for New Life. Wisła 2021. The primary focus of the event was promotion of transplantology. For years Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa (JSW), and now the JSW Foundation, as a partner, supported the initiative and actively participated in the relay with its Teams.

– We ran together because “transplantology needs the support of all of us”. The Run for New Life helps everyone to realize how much depends on our individual decisions. Supporting the Run, we support the ideas and the objectives that are very dear to JSW – emphasized Barbara Piontek, President of the JSW Foundation Management Board and President of the JSW S.A. Management Board. – The JSW Foundation took part this year and, as a partner, we will jointly support and hopefully develop this initiative in the years to come – she added.

At the start line on the Wisła market square there were 180 participants, including people who have had transplants and celebrities from the world of music, film, sport and medicine. The runners included representatives of the JSW Foundation and JSW S.A. The invitations to the JSW Foundation Team were accepted by, among others, professor Zbigniew Włodarczyk – outstanding Polish transplantologist, Piotr Gruszka – volleyball player, former captain of the Polish national team, and the popular actress, Elżbieta Romanowska.

– The Run for New Life is held already for the 18th time. Without our wonderful partners, including Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa and the JSW Foundation, this event would not happen and we would not be able to support transplantology so effectively. JSW has been with us since the first edition, i.e. for 18 years. This is a long-term partnership and it’s uplifting that this is a model example of cooperation. Thank you for being with us – said Arkadiusz Pilarz, co-creator and director of the Run for New Life.
