Honorary distinction for Deputy Minister Grzegorz Tobiszowski

Grzegorz Tobiszowski, secretary of state at the Minister of Energy, was honored with a special prize of JSW’s Innovator Laurel. He received the award from Artur Dyczko, Representative of the JSW S.A. Management Board for Strategy and Development, at the JSW Innowacje gala, recapping this year’s International Mining Forum.

The prestigious honorary distinction is granted to persons who have particularly contributed to the development of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa.

– JSW owes its today’s success and position to the effective mining restructuring process and Deputy Minister Grzegorz Tobiszowski played a key role in it – said Jacek Srokowski, Vice-President of JSW Innowacje. – Today, mining is the leader of innovation and a sector driving the economy – said the Deputy Minister of Energy at the gala in Katowice.

International Mining Forum 2019, held on 11 and 12 April this year, has attracted over eight hundred participants from numerous countries of the world. In total, three panels during the plenary session and two hundred lectures during fifteen thematic sessions were organized. IMF 2019 took place at the International Congress Center in Katowice, in the Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa plants and in Kraków.

The Forum served primarily as a forum for broad discussion and exchange of experience related to the introduction of Industry 4.0. The main topic of most thematic sessions was safety and efficiency of mining operations and the role of coking coal in the global economy. A significant part of the discussion was devoted to the latest investments in mining.
