In reference to Current Report no. 65/2026, the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. [“JSW S.A.”] hereby provides information about the background, qualifications and previous positions, together with a description of the career of Mr. Bartosz Styś, the newly-appointed Vice-President of the Management Board for Financial Matters of JSW S.A. in its 12th term:
Bartosz Styś
Bartosz Styś is a finance manager with more than 18 years of experience in corporate finance, financial management, restructuring and transaction advisory. He has gained this experience at TAURON Wytwarzanie, Deloitte and PwC, and by cooperating with KPMG. His professional experience has been focused mainly on the energy, mining and industrial sectors.
From 2024, he served as Vice President of the Management Board for Economic and Financial Affairs at TAURON Wytwarzanie S.A., with responsibility for the finance, controlling, accounting and tax. In this role, he was involved in the transformation of coal assets, implementation of programs to improve efficiency and profitability, and raised financing.
Before that, he held management positions at international strategic consulting firms, where he carried out projects in the area of restructuring, financing, controlling, financial modeling, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic management. He also has extensive consulting experience in the mining sector, which include projects involving debt restructuring, investments and financial modeling.
He graduated from the Academy of Economics in Katowice with a Finance and Accounting degree and completed the Joint Master Degree in European Business and Finance program offered by the University of Economics in Katowice in cooperation with Nottingham Trent University and Brno University of Technology. He also completed a course for candidates for supervisory board members.
At the same time, in accordance with the submitted representations, Mr. Bartosz Styś is not involved in any activities competitive to those he performs at JSW S.A., he is not a partner or shareholder in any competing civil law company, partnership or capital company, nor is he involved in any other competitive legal person as a member of its governing body. In addition he is not entered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors kept pursuant to the provisions of the National Court Register Act and in the National Register of Indebted Persons kept pursuant to the Act of 6 December 2018 on the National Register of Indebted Persons.
