Result of the election for a representative of JSW S.A. employees to the JSW S.A. Supervisory Board

Body of the Report:

The Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. (“Company”, “JSW S.A.”) hereby announces that, as a result of an election held among the Company’s employees on 10 July 2013, Mr. Marek Granieczny was elected as a representative of JSW S.A. employees to the JSW S.A. Supervisory Board.

Mr. Marek Granieczny graduated from the Mining Faculty of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice majoring in Mining and Drilling Machinery and Equipment. He has worked in the mining industry for 24 years and since 1997 has been employed in JSW S.A.’s Zofiówka Mine in machinery departments. He created and headed the Mine’s contracts and procurement department. Since 2006, he has served as Head of the Investments and Development Department at the Zofiówka Section of the Borynia-Zofiówka-Jastrzębie Mine.

 

Mr. Marek Granieczny is not engaged in any business competitive to that of the Company, does not participate in a competitive entity as a partner in a civil law company or partnership or as a member of a corporate authority of a joint stock or limited liability company and does not participate in any other competitive legal person as a member of its corporate authority. Furthermore, he is not entered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors kept pursuant to the National Court Register Act.

The appointment of a Supervisory Board member elected by employees requires the adoption of a relevant resolution by the JSW S.A. Shareholder Meeting. Accordingly, the Company will announce the performance of such action in a separate current report.

 

Legal Basis: § 5 Section 1 Item 22 of the Regulation issued by the Finance Minister on 19 February 2009 on the Current and Periodic Information Transmitted by Securities Issuers and the Conditions for Recognizing the Information Required by the Regulations of a Non-Member State as Equivalent.
