The sixth day of the operation is underway in Zofiówka

During the night from Thursday to Friday the drillers accurately drilled a second borehole from the round-shaped F tunnel at the 900 m level and connected to the H-10 roadway. This borehole has a diameter of 9.5 cm. The rescue workers are now sinking a cable with a transceiver device (Mobile Rescue Telephone) and a food packet.

Rescue workers continue to pump out water from the flooded area in the H-10 roadway. The rim of the flooded area has shifted 19 m. Parts of the structure strengthening the roof at the intersection of the H-10 roadway and the H-2 roadway are now visible.

As soon as such a possibility exists, the rescue workers will immediately attempt to penetrate the section along the roadway.

We will issue a separate release with considerable lead time about any possible press conference.
