- We are impressed with what we saw. Young people from across Poland came to Jastrzębie  to learn under the guidance of the best. They have excellent conditions here, not only for training but also for learning - says Jarosław Zagórowski, President of JSW. - I repeated it several times already, on  one hand we support the first team, because it  provides fans with positive emotions, the games attract crowds of fans and young people, on the other hand, we - as a patron of sport - support young talents, which, thanks to such projects realize their dreams - JSW President added.

Academy’s project, supported by JSW fits perfectly into the strategy of the company's corporate social responsibility. Academy trains 85 players born from 1994 to 1999 . We all learn in the Secondary School of Sports Championship (SMS) in Jastrzębie. The young "scholars" have to feel connected with the club.

For the purposes of the Academy  the hall in Szeroka has been renovated and the new  lighting  has been set. The former club’s hotel  after an extensive renovation, was adapted into a boarding school for young people from the Academy.

The rooms in the boarding school are painted in the sponsor’s colors, the beds have a length of 2.20 meters, even linens and logo of the sponsor and the club. The Academy has full medical coverage. The headquarters of the Academy, thanks to European Union subsidization will have the rehabilitation center, which in future will be used by employees of JSW.

What is important, in the first broad team squad of Jastrzebski Węgiel there will be five boys from the Academy. They will be nominated by the club for performances in European competitions. The club’s President Zdzisław Grodecki sees future Olympians among there boys. Their training will be led by the experienced  coach Jaroslaw Kubiak,  Michael’s father, a representative of the host country and Jastrzębie’s club. Coordination of Academy’s activities will be dealt by coach Leszek Dejewski

– The creation of the Academy is one of the biggest volleyball projects in Europe and the best project of its kind in Poland. I think it will be to the benefit of our club and our sponsor – says President Grodecki.
