Body of the report:
The Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. [“JSW”, “Company”] hereby reports that on 27 May 2025 it was informed of the estimated consolidated financial results of the JSW Group for Q1 2025 and decided to make them public.
Estimated consolidated financial results of the JSW Group for Q1 2025:
- sales revenues: PLN 2,437.6 million,
- gross loss on sales: PLN (644.4) million,
- operating loss plus depreciation and amortization (EBITDA): PLN (1,226.8) million,
- net loss: PLN (1,363.1) million.
The financial result was significantly impacted by the recognition of impairment losses on non-current assets of the coal segment in the total amount of PLN 648.0 million associated with the events that transpired in the Szczygłowice Section of the Knurów-Szczygłowice Mine, which was reported by the Company in its Current Reports no. 11/2025 of 29 January 2025 and 42/2025 of 22 May 2025.
At the same time, in reference to the Current Report No. 31/2025, regarding JSW Group’s operating activity, the Company’s Management Board reported that, in Q1 2025:
- Total coal production was 2.86 million tons,
- Coking coal production was 2.32 million tons,
- Steam coal production was 0.54 million tons,
- Total coke production was 0.70 million tons.
The financial results presented are estimates obtained in the preparation of the interim Q1 2025 consolidated financial statements and are subject to change.
The final financial results for Q1 2025 will be presented in detail in the Consolidated Report of the JSW Group for Q1 2025, scheduled for publication on 30 May 2025.
