As part of preparations for developing the plan, the Company is analyzing various concepts that will allow for better utilization of the production and resource potential of JSW’s units. One of the solutions under consideration is to merge the existing mines and create two mining centers.

The first would include mines located in the north—KKW Knurów-Szczygłowice and KKW Budryk—while the other, southern group would consist of KKW Pniówek and KKW Borynia-Zofiówka.

The potential benefits and synergies resulting from the merger of the existing mines are being analyzed in detail during the course of the work. The planned consolidation is aimed not only at centralized asset management and reduction of administrative functions, but also at achieving a number of additional organizational and operational effects. These include, among others, increasing the efficiency of production processes and the optimal use of human and technical resources.

- Our goal is to create a more flexible, modern and resilient organization that can respond more effectively to market and technological changes. Consolidating the potential of the mines will allow us to fully leverage the synergies between individual units and build solid foundations for the continued operation of JSW SA - emphasizes Bogusław Oleksy, acting President of the JSW Management Board.

Analytical and consultation work is currently underway. Once completed, the JSW Management Board will present the final assumptions of the restructuring plan, which will then undergo further stages of evaluation and implementation.
