The JSW Foundation has joined the campaign “Schoolbag full of smiles” organized by Caritas Polska throughout Poland. In the eleven editions of the campaign organized so far, 170 thousand children were helped. The JSW Foundation got involved in the campaign locally, providing children with school accessories. – We hope that thanks to such backpacks, adapted to fit the children’s needs, the coming school year will bring a lot of success – said Włodzimierz Hereźniak, president of the Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa Management Board and, at the same time, the Chairman of the JSW Foundation’s Supervisory Board. – Helping children in need is our duty, after all.
The campaign is aimed primarily at increasing the educational chances of the pupils through purchasing and donating school kits and attracting attention to the educational problems of children from poor families. - The JSW Foundation has been cooperating with Caritas from the beginning of its activity, and the “Schoolbag fool of smiles” is another campaign in which we get involved. We have concluded that this is a good time to promote this campaign, but also our Foundation wanted to prepare for it locally, by supporting the population of our municipalities - said Artur Dyczko, president of the JSW Foundation. - This is certainly not a one-off campaign and we will continue it.
