Modern drones at JSW

A pilot program of using air unmanned systems in the mines of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa is launched. They find wide application, as for example in surveying.

In the middle of May the first test flight of unmanned aerial systems took place at the Pniówek mine. Drones equipped with specialized equipment (cameras, sensors, software) provide companies with comprehensive solutions. They have an impact on the development of research and development projects and the improvement of the functioning of enterprises belonging to various industries including mining.

- Autonomous unmanned vehicles equipped with the right equipment create tremendous opportunities. They are precise, effective and above all cheaper than traditional equipment - says Daniel Ozon,  the chairman of the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa.

Agnieszka Hankus-Kubica, Development Coordinator at Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, adds: "Utilizing the technological potential of drones will improve the efficiency of planning processes, improve the safety and security of terrestrial infrastructure, generate savings in terms of measurements so far and will provide information that may influence shape and peace of selected processes in JSW.

The argument for making the first step towards unmanned aircraft is their high technology. The first tests of the raids show their huge potential. They provide knowledge on the condition of terrestrial infrastructure, terrain, information for geodetic work, monitoring and environmental protection.
