Support for hospitals

The Management Board of the JSW Foundation and the Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. support hospitals. So far, PLN 1.75 million has been allocation for combating the coronavirus The money has already been received on medical centers’ accounts.

Following the decision of the two management boards, the support will be donated to 7 facilities. These are: Józefa Rostka District Hospital in Raciborz (PLN 350 thousand gross), PP ZOZ Municipal Hospital in Wodzisław Śląski (PLN 350 thousand gross), Megrez sp. z o.o. Voivodship Hospital in Tychy (PLN 200 thousand gross), Voivodship Specialist Hospital no. 2 in Jastrzębie-Zdrój (PLN 250 thousands gross), św. Barbary Voivodship Specialist Hospital no. 5 in Sosnowiec (PLN 200 thousand gross), the ZZOZ Health Care Complex in Cieszyn (PLN 250 thousands gross) and the Zagłębiowskie Oncology Center, Sz. Starkiewicza Specialist Hospital, in Dąbrowa Górnicza (PLN 150 thousands gross). – This support was very important to us, especially because our hospital provides oncological treatment, therefore we applied for the support, knowing JSW Foundation’s responsible approach – says Robert Warwas, a Law and Justice MP from the Dąbrowa Coal Basin region.

All these institutions are today on the front line in the battle against the coronavirus, therefore the money from JSW will be earmarked for purchase of equipment and the required personal protection equipment. – The decision about the specific allocation of the money will be made by the medical services – says Włodzimierz Hereźniak, President of the JSW Management Board. – What is the most important for us is that we support hospitals operating in our region so the money goes to the local community. That is why we have established the JSW Foundation.

State Treasury companies show solidarity participating in the support of medical centers during this difficult time in the campaign run by the Ministry of State Assets under the name #MSAforPoles.
