Appointment of the new President of the Management Board of JSW S.A.

The Management Board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. (“Company”, “JSW S.A.”) hereby informs that on November 17, 2015 the JSW Supervisory Board unanimously elected Tomasz Gawlik as CEO of JSW S.A. VIII term. The new president of trading company takes the new office as early as today. He has been associated with JSW for 26 years, and since September 4 of this year is also a member of its management board.

Tomasz Gawlik has  graduated from the University of Economics in Katowice. He has also completed postgraduate studies in finance and tax accounting at the same university. He has been associated with the JSW Group since 1989. He first worked at the Jas-Mos mine and since 2005 in the JSW management board office in the Procurement and Contracts Team. Since 2008 he served as Deputy Director of the Office of Ownership Supervision and since 2010 as Director of the Strategic Development Office. From 2013 he served as President of the Board of the "Spółka Energetyczna Jastrzębie" S.A. and since 4th September fully in the Company as Vice-President of the Management Board for Strategy. He has experience in the creation and supervision of the execution of long-term strategic plans, conducting restructuring processes and implementation of projects aimed at optimizing business processes.

Mr. Thomas Gawlik is not engaged in any activities competitive to the Company, nor participates in any competitive company as a partner in a civil partnership or as a member of a corporate body. Also does not participate in another competitive legal person as a member of the body. Furthermore, he is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors maintained pursuant to the KRS Act.

Legal Basis: § 5 Section 1 Item 22 of the Finance Minister’s Regulation issued on 19 February 2009 on the Current and Periodic Information Transmitted by Securities Issuers and the Conditions for Recognizing the Information Required by the Regulations of a Non-Member State as Equivalent.
