Daniel OzonPresident of the Management Board

Daniel Ozon

President of the Management Board

Mr. Daniel Ozon is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and of the Faculty of Law of the University of Warsaw. He specializes in corporate consulting, banking (investment and corporate), mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, finance, management, value growth management. From 2014, he worked with EDF Trading in London advising on the acquisition of energy and gas trading on the Polish and CEE markets. From 2011, he was a partner in the Carlson Private Equity Ltd. Fund. From 2010, he was a co-owner of the Ventus Asset Management SA brokerage house holding a full license from KNF (Polish Financial Supervision Authority).
From 2008 to 2011, he worked with Experior Partner and from 2006 to 2008 he was associated with JSW where he acted in the capacity of the Vice-President of the Management Board, Director of the Corporate Governance and Capital Strategy Office. Among others, he coordinated the merger of the Budryk mine with JSW headed the work on JSW’s development strategy. From 2004 to 2006 he worked for BBK Polska as a director. From 1999 to 2004 he was employed at Bank Handlowy Citibank where he headed the Restructuring Department and the Trade Finance Department.

Area of management:

He heads the work of the Management Board, convenes Management Board meetings and chairs them. He oversees all of JSW’s operations, including in particular: Organization and Management, Security, Communications and PR, Audit and Control, Procurement, Integrated Management System and Risk Management.

Vice-President of the Management Board for Financial Matters

He graduated from the national economy faculty of the Wrocław University of Economics and a post-graduate investment course in respect to capital expenditures and development projects at Warsaw School of Commerce, a post-graduate course on International Financial Reporting Standards by the Warsaw School of Commerce/Ernst&Young. He also took the course of investment advisors and for candidates for supervisory boards and management boards of State Treasury companies.
He has many years of experience in management positions, mainly in finance, among others in the steel and mining industry, in companies owned by the State Treasury as well as in private companies. He was, among others: CFO at Huta Katowice S.A., Polskie Huty Stali S.A. and at Mittal Steel Poland S.A., Vice-President of the Management Board for Economic and Financial Matters at Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A., CEO of Minerals Mining Group S.A., Management Board Member for Financial Matters at Polskie Koleje Linowe S.A. He also accumulated professional experience in companies such as the KGHM Group and Ernst&Young.

Area of management:

He oversees all of JSW’s operations, including in particular: Controlling, Finance, Accounting and Trading and Stock Exchange Relations.

Mr. Artur Dyczko graduated from the Mining Faculty of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków majoring in Underground Deposit Mining Technique and Management and Marketing. He also completed a post-graduate course in Human Resource Management at the Jagiellonian University and Mining Geology at the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. He is an author and co-author of numerous research studies, expert reports, opinions, implementation projects and scientific publications on mining. Since July 2016, he has been employed by JSW, most recently in the position of the Management Board Representative for Technical Matters. He has experience as a consultant on the subjects of mining, management of mineral resources and use of IT tools in managing the economics of deposits, for large international corporations, such as: Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, McKinsey, IBM, HP, Microsoft, Bentley, Dassault Systèmes (Gemcom), SAP, Deswik and ABB. He also has experience in managing large project teams, having participated in several dozen implementation projects in the mining industry, including ones for LW Bogdanka S.A., KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., KHW S.A., Tauron Wydobycie S.A., Polska Grupa Górnicza Sp. z o.o. and JSW S.A. He is a co-author of the operating strategy of LW Bogdanka S.A. until 2020, the main mining consultant for Polska Grupa Górnicza’s new business model and a co-author of JSW’s anti-crisis strategy.

He oversees all of JSW’s operations, including in particular: investment, strategy, innovation, development, corporate social responsibility and corporate governance.

Jolanta Gruszka

Vice-President of the Management Board for Sales

Ms. Jolanta Gruszka graduated from the faculty of philology at the University of Silesia in Katowice and completed numerous training courses in the field of sales strategy and management. She is a certified translator of English. She has many years of professional experience in trade and management. She started her career in 1990 in "Centrozap" Trade and Industry Company, where she worked as a sales trainee and sales specialist. In 1996 she was employed Polski Koks where she held positions ranging from a marketing and trade specialist to the Vice-President of the Management Board. In October 2016 she was appointed to the position of a Management Board Representative at JSW, and since December 2016 she has served as Vice-President of the Management Board for Sales. She has been associated with trade, marketing and freight forwarding since the beginning of his professional career. She has completed a number of large projects related to the implementation of trading policy and sales strategy, restructuring and cost reduction.

Area of management:

She oversees all of JSW’s operations, including in particular Trading and Freight Forwarding.

Tomasz Śledź Vice-President for Technical Matters

Vice-President for Technical Matters

Mr. Tomasz Śledź graduated from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice with his major in the Mining of Deposits and Waste Management. In 2011, he completed postgraduate studies at the Department of Organization and Management at the Silesian University of Technology in Corporate Project Management. From the outset of his career he has been active in the mining industry. He began to work in 1988 as a miner, then foreman, then supervisor until he became the chief mining engineer - head of the mining department. From September 2015 to January 2017 he served as the Production Director at JSW’s Knurów-Szczygłowice hard coal mine, and subsequently he served as the Production Director of the Szczygłowice Section of the Knurów-Szczygłowice hard coal mine. In 2010 he took part in the work to merge the Knurów mine with the Szczygłowice mine, and then in 2014 he participated in the incorporation of the Knurów-Szczygłowice Mine into JSW. During his career he focused on enhancing and improving occupational safety and health standards. He has co-authored numerous articles and publications regarding initiatives and new ideas in the mining industry.

He oversees all of JSW’s operations, including in particular: Coal Production, Preparation and Quality, Environmental Protection and Mining Damage.

Artur Wojtków Vice-President of the Management Board for Employment and Social Policy

Artur Wojtków

Vice-President of the Management Board for Employment and Social Policy

A lawyer by education, graduate of the University of Silesia in Katowice. He also completed post-graduate studies in social labor dialog at the University of Economics in Katowice and in management of industrial occupational health and safety at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. He has been associated with Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. almost since its establishment, i.e. since 1995. From May 1995 to August 1999 he served as Head of the Organizational and Legal Department and then from 1999 to 2009 as Director for Labor at the Borynia Coal Mine.

Area of management:

He oversees all of JSW’s operations, including in particular: Labor, Payroll, Property Management and HR Management.

Changes to the JSW Management Board in 2017

  • JSW received a resignation as of 3 March 2017 submitted by Mr. Józef Pawlinów from the function of Management Board Member for Technical Matters.
  • The Supervisory Board dismissed Mr. Tomasz Gawlik acting in the capacity of President of the Management Board from the JSW Management Board as of 6 March 2017.
  • The Supervisory Board seconded Mr. Daniel Ozon to act temporarily in the capacity of President of the JSW Management Board as of 6 March 2017, but no longer than until 6 June 2017.
  • The Supervisory Board seconded Mr. Daniel Ozon to act temporarily in the capacity of President of the JSW Management Board from 8 June 2017 to 7 September 2017, inclusively, though no longer than until the date of appointing the President of the Management Board.
  • The Supervisory Board appointed Mr. Artur Dyczko as of 9 August 2017 to the JSW Management Board and entrusted him with the position of Vice-President for Strategy and Development.
  • The Supervisory Board seconded Mr. Daniel Ozon to act temporarily in the capacity of President of the JSW Management Board from 9 September 2017 to 8 December 2017, inclusively, though no longer than until the date of appointing the President of the Management Board.
  • The Supervisory Board appointed Mr. Tomasz Śledź as of 6 October 2017 to the JSW Management Board and entrusted him with the position of Vice-President for Technical Matters.
  • The Supervisory Board appointed Mr. Daniel Ozon as of 30 November 2017 to the position of President of the Management Board.
