“Our cooperation has a long tradition and is still being developed. It involves many different levels, but the educational one is undoubtedly one of the most important. Thanks to the agreement, which has been extended for another year, we can attract young and qualified employees for JSW, whose educational profile is adapted to the needs of our mines," said Artur Wojtków, Vice-President of the JSW Management Board for Employment and Social Policy.

“Our students can confidently build their future on cooperation with JSW,” emphasized Waldemar Dombek, Gliwice County Governor. “Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa is a strategic partner for us. It is a company with a huge development potential and very good prospects, it is an ideal employer in these difficult times - added the Governor.

The cooperation between JSW and the Gliwice County Hall involves teaching, practical classes for the students and employment of the leavers of the Vocational Schools Complex no. 2 in Knurów, studying to be electricians, machinery and device installation specialists, mechanical technician, and electrical technician.

The Vocational School Complex in Knurów does not suffer from shortage of candidates. The high attendance at the just-concluded open days in the School proves the continuing interest in mining education.
