- This is the year of your company - said Deputy Minister Grzegorz Tobiszowski. - JSW is reborn, because exactly a year ago, company bankruptcy  was widely anticipated. Deputy Minister thanked the Management Board, managers, the social workers and the crew. - Your decisions are without precedent. I emphasize it wherever place I visit in Poland. It's rare ability to share with others but you could do it .  You proved that you have a vision and determination to save your company - said the Deputy Minister to the assembled.

Krzysztof Zabój, director of the mine thanked the crew for the effort to defend the jobs and the responsibility that have been demonstrated during the past year. – It has been a year full of uncertainty, anxiety and fear. The macroeconomic situation has set the entire mining industry, coal companies and the mines at the necessity of the struggle for survival. Almost every day we heard about the lack of a future for coal in Poland - said Krzysztof Zabój. - But what really a crisis is? The crisis is a threat, but also a chance and new opportunities. I have a personal conviction that Pniówek employees have already made a choice and took the fight for their future. I am thankful for that.

Tomasz Gawlik, CEO of JSW stressed that recently board of JSW had to take hard decisions. He spoke about the decision on the transfer of Krupiński to the Mines Restructuring Company. He turned also to the miners. - Exceptional people work at Krupiński mine. In the coming weeks, months, they will be your colleagues from the departments, brigades and teams. Please welcome them with your arms open – he appealed. - The Board must look at the company as a whole, taking into account the current economic - financial situation.

We cannot afford to hold assets that generate losses. It's too big  risk for other mines. We will invest in the most promising mines, which will in the coming years increase the production of hard coking coal. The prices of coal are substantially higher than the prices of thermal coal - said the president of JSW. - JSW has become an example for other mining companies and workers of all Polish companies. If not sacrifice of the twenty-three thousand employees, we would not be celebrating here today. JSW would be a declining company. I am the president of the first board in the company's history, which, together with the crew was able to overcome such a tragic streak - ended his speech the President of JSW.
