Young geologists will join JSW

Seventeen graduates of the AGH University of Science and Technology will start their professional career at JSW mines. The company needs highly qualified geologists because it intends to implement an innovative spatial modeling system. New adepts will start work in October.

The employment of graduates is the result of agreement signed in June between Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa and AGH University of Science and Technology and Silesian University of Technology. There will be eight women and nine men. - We want you to gain skills and experience in these mines, because Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa requires skilled workers. Now everything is in your hands -  said Artur Dyczko deputy chairman of the board for strategy and development at the meeting with graduates.

New employees are the best AGH students, who during the course of their studies played an important role in preparing the data needed for the JSW model to be developed and planned for the 3D bed model. - For the Company it is important because the bed model is the basis for modern production planning - explains Artur Dyczko. The last three months the graduates spent on internship at JSW mines under the guidance of major geologists. They were involved in a variety of geological and mining surveying, documenting, and mine operations. The job has been offered by the supervisors and managers of the geological and geological departments to those who showed very good professional training, but first of all declared their willingness to work. "We want you to develop further while learning this difficult craft. Welcome aboard” - welcomed the new staff Artur Dyczko. Among the newly recruited, there are not only people from Silesia, but also from Pomerania, Podkarpacie and Świętokrzyskie
