Józef Myrczek - Chairman

Józef Myrczek - Chairman

Aged 55. Mr. Myrczek graduated from Wrocław Technical University in Wrocław with a master’s degree inengineering, specialising in fundamental engineering problems in 1980. In 1984, he obtained a doctoratefrom the same institution and, in 1999, obtained the academic title of a doctor habilitatus in chemicalsciences. In addition, Mr. Myrczek has attended numerous courses and training sessions on banking, financeand risk management.

In 1989 to 1990, Mr. Myrczek worked in Okręgowe Przedsiębiorstwo Obrotu Zwierzętami Hodowlanymi.

From 1984 to 1993, he was employed as an assistant professor at Wrocław Technical University. From 1993 to 2005, Mr. Myrczek worked in Bank Polskiej Społdzielczości S.A. From June 2008 to June 2009, he was a member of the audit commission of Beskidzka Izba Kapitałowa i Fundusz Poręczeń Kredytowych w Bielsku-Białej sp. z o.o. Mr. Myrczek is currently a professor extraordinarius at the Technical and Humanist Academy in Bielsko-Biała. He serves as president of the management board of Śląski Bank Społdzielczy “Silesia” in Katowice (since September 2005), a supervisory board member of Bank Polskiej Społdzielczości S.A. (since June 2005) and a supervisory board member of Beskidzki Dom Maklerskiego S.A. (from May 1999 to June 2001 and again from June 2004). Mr. Myrczek also served as a vice presidentof the management board of Bank Polskiej Społdzielczości S.A. (from January 2003 to August 2005).

Antoni Malinowski - Deputy Chairman

Aged 61. Mr. Malinowski graduated from the Mining and Metallurgy Academy in Krakow with a degree in mining engineering in 1973.

In 1973 to 1974, he was employed by KWB “Konin” in Konin. In 1974 to 1976, he was employed as a plant director in WZEK in Warsaw. From 1976 to 1983, Mr. Malinowski worked in COBR PKP in Warsaw. In 1983 to 1986, he was employed in MB and PMB in Warsaw. In addition, in 1989-1993, he worked in PPH “Marbetex” sp. z o.o. in Warsaw. From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Malinowski worked in Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcji i Organizacji Dostaw in Warsaw. Since 1993, Mr. Malinowski has been an employee of the Ministry of Economy. In addition, he has acted as a supervisory board member of CZW “Węglozbyt” (until 1996), KHW S.A. (until 2008) and KW S.A. (until 2009). Until 2000, he was also the Supervisory Board Chairman of the “Jan Kanty” S.A. mine.

Aged 53. Mr. Baron graduated from the Silesian Technical University in Gliwice, receiving a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, specialising in heavy machinery in 1982. He participated in courses on management, public procurement law, geological and mining law, the new labour code, risk management, and controlling and conducting insurance activities.

Since 1982 until the present, Mr. Baron has been employed in the Pniowek coal mine, and currently serves as chief power mechanical engineer. Since 2009, he has been the Company’s Supervisory Board Secretary.

In the past, Mr. Baron was a Supervisory Board member in the Company (2000-2007), and also acted as the Company’s Supervisory Board Deputy Chairman (in 2007–2009).

Adam Rybaniec - Member

Adam Rybaniec - Member

Aged 58. Mr. Rybaniec graduated from the Agricultural Academy in Lublin, with a degree in machinery and equipment operations. He also completed post-graduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics in corporate finance management and also at the National Defence Academy in state defence. In addition, he completed a course on real property management and obtained a Real Property Manager’s Licence.

From 1987 to 2002, Mr. Rybaniec was employed in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. From 2002 to 2010, he was employed in the Social Security Institution. Since 2010, he has been working in the Ministry of Economy.

Janusz Tomica - Member

Janusz Tomica - Member

Aged 45. Mr. Tomica graduated from the University of Science and Technology in Krakow with a degree in the technology of underground mining operations in 1990. In 2008, he completed post-graduate studies at the Silesian Technical University in Gliwice, majoring in health and work safety management in industry.

He completed the course and passed an examination for candidates to become supervisory board members in State Treasury companies.

In 1990-1999, Mr. Tomica worked in the Morcinek coal mine in Kaczyce. Since 1999 to the present, he has been an employee of the Borynia coal mine (currently the Borynia-Zofiowka Mine) as the agent of a director of the integrated management system.

Adam Wałach - Member

Aged 46. Mr.Wałach graduated from the Mining and Metallurgy Academy in Krakow, where he specialized in mining and metallurgical machines and equipment as well as mining techniques.

Since 1991, he has been employed in the Pniowek Mine and is currently a director of mining works.

Tomasz Kusio - Member

Aged 34. Mr. Kusio graduated from the University of Warsaw with a degree in jurisprudence.

From 2004 to 2008, Mr. Kusio worked in Zakład Ubezpieczeń Społecznych in Warsaw. Since 2008, he has been employed in the Ministry of the Economy.

Miłosz Karpiński - Member

Miłosz Karpiński - Member

Aged 31. Mr. Karpinski graduated from the University of Nicolas Copernicus in Toruń with a degree in international relations. He also completed post-graduate studies in the science of materials regarding refinery and petrochemical products at the National School of State Administration in Warsaw.

From 2007 to the present, Mr. Karpiński has been employed in the Ministry of the Economy.

Since September 2009, he has served as Chairman of the Managing Board of the Certification Unit for Products of the Fuel and Renewable Energy Institute.

Stanisław Kluza - Member

Stanisław Kluza - Member

Aged 40. PhD in economy, created the Polish Financial Supervision Authority

  • Lecturer at the Warsaw School of Economics (since 1994), associated with the Institute of Statistics and Demography;
  • Chairman of the Financial Supervision Authority (Sep 2006 - Oct 2011);
  • Finance Minister and Deputy Finance Minister (May - Sep 2006);
  • Chief Economist and Director of the Analysis Department at Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej (2002-2006);
  • His earlier professional experience included, among others, McKinsey&Co (1998–1999) and Unilever (1994–1998) and sitting on supervisory boards of Sygnity (2006), Siarkopol (2006), Elektrownia Siersza w Trzebini (1998-1999).

In 1995 he graduated from SGH with Top Ten Honors. He was granted a scholarship of the Foundation for Polish Science in 1998 and  in 1999 he was also awarded the Fulbright scholarship at the Washington University in St. Louis and the scholarship of Dekaban-Liddle at the Glasgow University in 2001. He received the Prime Minister's award for his Ph.D. thesis (2001).

His main areas of expertise include: monetary policy, statistics, econometrics, macroeconomics, banking and economic situation research. Mr. Kluza has authored many presentations and papers on financial market supervision and macroeconomic issues.

Marek Adamusiński - Member

Marek Adamusiński - Member

Aged 49. Mr. Adamusiński graduated from the Silesian Technical University in Gliwice with a degree in power plant machinery. He participated in many courses including, among others, courses for candidates to become supervisory board members of State Treasury companies, courses on the management of coal mining restructuring processes, and courses on real property valuation. He also completed post-graduate studies at the University of Science and Technology in Krakow concerning linear transport.

Since 1987, Mr. Adamusiński has been employed in the Borynia-Zofiowka Mine, Zofiowka section, and currently serves as chief underground power mechanical engineer.

Alojzy Nowak - Member

Alojzy Nowak - Member

Professor of Economic Sciences (2002), Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw (since 2005), Head of the National Economy Department and the International Economic Relations Unit of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw and head of the Finance Department at the Leon Koźmiński Academy in Warsaw. Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Warsaw University's European Center. 

Graduated with a degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Exeter (UK), in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (USA) and Free University of Berlin (Germany). 

Member of the Scientific Research Committee of the National Bank of Poland and member of the NewConnect advisory committee to the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. 

His academic interests include banking, international business relations and financial markets management. The subject of his doctoral dissertation was monetary policy, and the habilitation dissertation was written on the subject of banking and finance. 

Wrote more than 170 academic publications on the subject of regional integration processes and monetary unions, foreign investments, business conditions, banking and international economic relations which were published by Polish and foreign academic journals and periodicals. Member of program councils and editorial boards of numerous Polish and foreign academic periodicals, including "Gazeta Bankowa", "Journal of Interdisciplinary Economics", "Cross Cultural Management", "Yearbook on Polish European Studies", "Problems of Management" and others. 

Lecturer of subjects such as banking, commercial bank, money and money markets, economic analysis of the European Union, European Union's finances on Polish and foreign universities in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Russia. 

Winner of numerous awards for academic achievements, including, among others, the Award of the Minister of National Education for the book "Banks and households – development dynamics" and the book "European Union – an opportunity for Poland". 

Manager of EU and NATO grants and grants of the Academic Research Committee (KBN). 

Mariusz Warych - Member

Mariusz Warych - Member

Graduate of the Foreign Trade Department of the University of Lodz in Poland and Hogeschool van Utrecht in the Netherlands. Holder of the CIA Certificate and participant in the ACCA course, with many years of international experience in management, finance, accounting, audit (external and internal) and sales, gained while working for international corporations, including:

- Ernst & Young (New York, USA, London, Great Britain, Toronto and Vancouver, Canada and Warsaw, Poland) – external auditor specializing in financial services and new generation of high-tech companies;

- Citigroup (Warsaw) – Financial Director – leasing companies;

- KBC Group (Brussels, Belgium) – Regional Coordinator for Central Europe – oversight over the internal audit function with special focus on the operation of the Group's Polish companies, i.e. Kredyt Bank and Warta;

- Aviva (Warsaw) – Internal Audit Director for Central and Eastern Europe and Russia, managing the internal audit function in Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, Hungary  and Lithuania and representing it before local Supervisory Boards, Committees and Management Boards.

Since December 2011, serves as Director at Deloitte Advisory Sp. z o. o.

Chairman of the Club of Audit Managers in Poland, former Financial Advisor of the Canadian Polish Congress and Journalist for the NOFA Polish Radio in Vancouver.

In private, a fan of traveling and sports.
