The production and sale of coking coal, coke and carbon-related products are the core activities of JSW Group, which over the years has remained the leader on the Polish and European coking coal market by producing high-quality coking coal and coke and due to its close proximity to key customers.

The coal mined by JSW Group is used in Central Europe by local steelworks owned by international steel-makers and regional utilities. The coke produced by JSW Group is also sold on the global market. JSW Group processes nearly 50% of the coking coal it produces at its own coking plants, thus offering a more processed and higher-value product.
The Group’s parent company is Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A., based in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. JSW SA operates in the Upper Silesia region. It owns four hard coal mines, which annually produce approx. 15 million tonnes of coal, and three coking plants, with total annual output of approx. 3.6 million tonnes.
Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa’s shares have been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since July 2011 and are currently part of the WIG 20 index for the 20 largest and most liquid companies listed on the WSE’s main market.
