Rehabilitation and development of post-mining areas
We care for the natural environment among others by restoring the natural and landscape values of the areas which suffered during mining activities. We rehabilitate such areas permanently. Every year we we green and plant trees on more than 9 ha of spoil tips.
In all such facilities, we carry out our work in order to restore the environmental and landscape value of the land so that in the near future they can serve local communities as green areas and sports and recreation facilities.
The spoil tips that are still operational undergo technical and biological rehabilitation, which ensure quick and permanent environmental effect within a short time horizon. Annually, more than a dozen hectares of active spoil tips are subject to biological rehabilitation.
