RESPECT Index is the first index of socially responsible companies in the Central and Eastern Europe, in existence since 2009. In this year’s edition of the index, the number of new companies is the largest in history. The representatives of the Warsaw Stock Exchange say that there is a reason why the number of companies subscribing to CSR (corporate social responsibility) principles and valuing communication with investors continues to grow. The selection of JSW for the RESPECT Index means that JSW has satisfied the strict criteria set for socially responsible companies that are consistent in their activities benefiting, among others, the natural environment, local communities and employees.

An entry in the RESPECT index may be pursued by companies included in the WIG20, mWIG40 or sWIG80 indices. The index is comprised of companies that have passed the scoring review conducted by the WSE and the Association of Listed Companies (SEG). Among others, they must ensure excellent communication with the market through current and periodic reports and their websites.

The new RESPECT Index will come into effect as of 27 December 2018.
