500 visors will be delivered to the mines and units of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa. The visors have been donated as part of the campaign entitled “Let’s stay together in difficult times”. They were produced in the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow on the 3D-printing equipment that scientists and students use for research purposes.

We’ve had an idea to support not only those who need it most, namely hospitals, but also Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, with which we have had long-lasting close cooperation – said Professor Marek Borowski PhD hab, dean at the AGH Faculty of Mining and Geoengineering. – We know about JSW’s struggle with coronavirus, so we wanted to support JSW just as the company supported us.

It takes about 10 hours to 3D-print a single visor. The 500 visors for JSW were produced on 20 printers working non-stop. Before that, AGH manufactured more than 20 thousand visors for medical personnel, firefighters and the police.  The face visors done by AGH were donated to more than 200 different institutions in 72 towns and cities of the Southern Poland, among others in Racibórz, Katowice, Gliwice or Bielsko-Biała.
