Jastrzębie Coal Company (JCC) is dominant coking coal producer in Poland.
Company's mines are modern, equipped with state-of-the art machines
and tools, and managed by experienced, high qualified and well-trained
staff.
Total mine field of JCC is 122 km2
On wide scale are led up activities of revamp and restructuring,
efficient equipment, and automation technologies applied in technological
processes provides adequate processing and occupational safety condition.
Modernisation operations are:
- concentration of coal faces
- decreasing of coal output costs per unit and processing costs per unit
- improvement of productivity
- environmental protection
General efforts aimed at environmental protection:
- mined-land reclamation and waste heap management for transformation its into the areas for leisure and tourism
- stowage of smoke - box dust, together with processing refuses into underground
- mining of deposit decreasing subsidence range
- take advantage of methane in production of electric / heating power and in drying in coal processing
- elimination of dust-and-gas emission by installation filter - setting centrifuge in processing plant
In order to maintain high quality parameters of produced coal,
modern dressing technologies are used. System of output quality
control provides high and stable quality coal level.
It is supported by automatic coal analyses in mines and also by
well equipped Main Measuring and Testing Laboratory.
