Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. is Europe’s largest producer of type 35 coking coal (hard) with high quality properties, used in the production of top-quality blast-furnace coke.
Coking coal accounts for approximately 70% of JSW’s sales structure. The remaining portion includes high-calorie steam coal dust (0-20 mm) and small quantities of coal in other grain sizes (0-200 mm ungraded coal; flotation concentrate; 0-1 mm slurry).
In addition to the supply within the JSW Group (Przyjaźń Coking Plant, KK Zabrze, WZK Victoria), on the domestic market, JSW SA supplies coking coal to ArcelorMittal Poland, Czestochowa Nowa Coking Plant and Carbo-Koks. Steam coal is sold to power plants and to heat and power plants (CHP). In the foreign market, customers of JSW coking coal are European Union countries: Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia.
