The Koksownia Przyjaźń team was the winner of the football tournament held in Pawłowice on 12 May. Teams participating in the JSW-organised tournament included the representations of companies constituting the JSW Capital Group and the companies cooperating with JSW.
On Friday 27 April in Katowice, an agreement on execution of the investment project: Construction of a Composite Solid Fuels Production Site was signed between Polski Koks S.A. (company owned by Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa) and Przedsiebiorstwo Kompletacji i Montażu Systemów Automatyki CARBOAUTOMATYKA S.A.

The Globus Hall in Lublin hosted the benefit gala of two of Poland's Olympic champions from Montreal: Tomasz Wójtowicz and Lech Łasko. The event was organised by Jastrzębski Węgiel with the support of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa and Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka.
